The African Leadership University (ALU), located in the heart of Rwanda, is pioneering a fresh approach to higher education and leadership development in the 21st century.
The University uses a personalized, student driven, project-based and mission oriented approach, integrating students’ learning with the real world, and through that, empowering them with the entrepreneurship and leadership skill-set needed.
At ALU, students are empowered with 21st- century skills of entrepreneurship, leadership and real life problem solving, pursuing a life experience. CARNERGIE MELLON UNIVERSITY
Established in 2011, CMU is the only U.S. research university offering its master’s degrees with a full-time faculty, staff and operations in Africa. Born out of a partnership between CMU and the Government of Rwanda, CMU-Africa is addressing the critical shortage of high quality engineering talent required to accelerate development in Africa—home to the fastest growing workforce in the world.
CMU’s presence in Rwanda provides a platform to engage in Africa’s most significant opportunities and challenges through world-class education and contextually-relevant research.
The University offers programs like Masters in Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering (MSECE) which teaches students to create technology solutions not only for today but for the future too and Science in Information Technology (MSIT), which empowers students to strike a fine balance between technology, business and innovation.
AFRICAN INSTITUTE for MATHMATICAL SCIENCES (AIMS)
The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) is an academic network that enables Africa’s brightest students to become innovators that advances scientific, educational and economic self-sufficiency. It delivers world-class mathematical science degrees to students recruited across the African continent.
AIMS Rwanda is the 6th Centre of Excellence in Africa. Each AIMS Centre across the world offers an intensive one-year structured Masters’ Degree.
AIMS is part of a Pan-African network of centers of excellence enabling Africa’s talented students to become innovators driving the continent’s scientific, educational and economic growth.
